There is no straight answer to this. It depends on a number of factors:before-after_juvederm

  • How deep are your lines?
  • How old are you?
  • Have you had any dermal filler before?
  • Do you need more than one area treating?

In most people you can get a result with one syringe of dermal filler in one area such as the lines from the nose down to the mouth, or lines coming down from the corners of the mouth. Often though, people ask for lipstick lines above their top lip to be filled as well. Sometimes, you can fill the lines from the nose down to the mouth and have enough left over to treat the top lip too. If the lines are deeper though, you need more filler. What you don’t want, is to spread one filler out too far and end up with not much result anywhere! The best results are when you concentrate on one specific area and get a really nice result, and if there is a little bit over, you can then think about putting it somewhere else.

I had a lady from Blackburn yesterday whose main concern were the lines from her nose down to her mouth (naso-labial folds) but she also had one fairly fine smokers line above her top lip which she hated. I treated the naso-labial folds first and then just put a tiny bit in the smokers line, which was just enough and it looked great!
